Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using LookAtPets you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community Standards, and our Seller Guidelines.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to transact on LookAtPets.

3. Your account

You're responsible for activity under your account, including listings, messages, and reviews.

4. Acceptable use

No fraud, animal cruelty, wildlife trafficking, prohibited species, illegal sales, harassment, or spam. Violations may result in restriction, suspension, or removal.

5. Listings & transactions

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

5a. Payments & marketplace role

Buyers and sellers are responsible for their own dealings and conduct. LookAtPets facilitates marketplace interactions and, where enabled, provides payment tooling, records, and dispute assistance. LookAtPets does not act as an escrow agent, insurer, guarantor, or fiduciary for either party.

  • For payments processed through LookAtPets, the seller is the merchant and payments are processed by Stripe on the seller's account. The seller is responsible for refunds and chargebacks on their sales.
  • LookAtPets' seller-side marketplace fee (5%, minimum $1.25) is generally non-refundable after successful processing, except where required by law, for a processing error caused by LookAtPets, or by an audited staff correction. Buyer refunds are not reduced by this fee.
  • Payment confirmation is not bank receipt. Stripe, account and bank timing govern when funds clear and are paid out.
  • If you pay a seller directly, outside LookAtPets payments, LookAtPets cannot issue a refund; it can only record the outcome and assist where it is able.

6. Disclaimers

LookAtPets provides the platform "as is" and does not warrant any specific outcome from any transaction or interaction between users.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
