How LookAtPets Reputation works

The LookAtPets Reputation Card is a plain-language summary of a member’s verified history on LookAtPets. It is generated automatically — members cannot edit their own card.

What earns reputation

  • Verified marketplace activity such as completed reservations, deliveries, and events.
  • Verified reviews left by real buyers, adopters, or clients after a real transaction.
  • Time on the platform and consistent, responsible conduct.
  • Optional verifications (identity, phone, address, business, veterinary, rescue, farm, breeder).

Optional verifications add badges to the card, but verification alone does not create a high grade.

Reputation grades

  1. New Member
A new account, or one with very little verified activity yet.
  2. Bronze Member
At least a month on the platform with a small amount of verified activity.
  3. Silver Member
A handful of verified activities and verified reviews with a solid average rating.
  4. Gold Member
Consistent verified activity, a strong review record, and 90+ days of history.
  5. Platinum Member
Long history, many verified activities and reviews, high rating, and clean record.
  6. Elite Member
A year or more of top-tier verified activity and reviews with no unresolved issues.

Account standing

Standing is separate from grade. Grade reflects a member’s lifetime verified history and does not change when standing changes. Standing reflects the account’s current condition: Excellent, Good, Under Review, Restricted, or Suspended. A long-standing member temporarily under review keeps their historical grade — the standing badge tells other members the account is currently being reviewed. Grade only changes when the underlying verified activity or reviews are themselves reversed through an audited administrative action. A submitted report on its own never changes standing.

What reputation is not

  • Reputation and verification are not a guarantee of any animal, service, or transaction.
  • Reputation cannot be bought, gifted, or manually assigned by staff.
  • Verification documents are private — only authorized reviewers can view them.
  • Reports alone do not reduce reputation. Confirmed policy violations may.
